Oakley Resource Center

Mission Statement:

The mission of our center is to assess the concerns of the student body in order to address personal, professional, and academic needs through direct resources and programming. We work to address barriers that prevent full participation in campus life while also creating opportunities to build habits that contribute to success.

Study Lounge

Located in our main suite, Suite C102, on the first floor of the building, the Oakley Study Lounge offers a quiet and comfortable place to study with less traffic than some of our traditional study spaces. The study lounge is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

On Track Hours

Students may also request one-on-one assistance with academic related needs by signing up for . On Track Hours allow students the chance to meet with the Director to ask specific questions related to their academic success.

Initiatives and Programs

We offer academic support programs aimed at helping students stay accountable and motivated to complete their academic assignments.

Our center offers a variety of support services related to campus safety and also serves as a connection point for students who may need help accessing other on-campus or off-campus services.

Our basic need resources are intended to assist students with short-term, immediate needs that detract from their overall well-being. By supporting students in these areas, we help ensure that they can engage more fully in their academic and personal life.

  • Toiletry Needs - menstrual products, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
  • Cold Weather Needs - winter coat closet, gloves, winter hats, cold/flu care items
  • Laundry Needs - single load detergent packs
  • Cleaning Needs - dorm essential cleaning items
  • Bra Closet - gently-used bras in a variety of sizes

Our center works to make it easier for students to connect with and access resources offered in our community by hosting Community Connect Resource Days. We host these organizations one a month to bring their resources and services to campus for our students.
